 CELEBRATE ST. ROCH! was a great success! The weather was beautiful, and there was great music from the True Vine Baptist Church Choir, the Our Lady Star of the Sea Church Choir, saxophonist Stephen Gladny, and a performance of "Voices of the Big Easy" featuring Chuck Perkins and Troy Sawyer. There was also great food provided by Smoke-n-Spice Catering, mosaic-making lessons for kids by the Lousiana Childrens Museum, and representatives from many service and recovery organizations to provide information to St. Roch residents. The Historic New Orleans Collection was there to record oral histories and to document historic neighborhood memorabilia provided by St. Roch residents. Thanks to all the sponsors for making the event possible, as well as all the organizations that participated and of course, the wonderful people of St. Roch for coming out to celebrate the neighborhood!
