Overview

There are over 130 houses within the Faubourg St. Roch Project target area, most which are wonderful examples of historic New Orleans architecture. Before Hurricane Katrina, most of these buildings were in need of maintenance and the majority were not owner occupied. The storm brought further damage and disrepair to the neighborhood. Together with our partners, Rebuilding Together, our goal is to provide assistance for maintenance or rehabilitation to each of the houses in our target area.

We recently surveyed the neighborhood to get a clearer picture of the post-Katrina housing inventory. Our survey was able to reach about 68% of the target area, which leaves about 32% of the properties as unknown status. The results of the survey are presented here for informational purposes.

Click the link below to see a map of our inventory survey results. This map will be updated periodically as we gather more information.
